Access Aids

ACCESS AIDS Care provides programs and services to individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS in Hampton Roads. The mission of ACCESS AIDS Care is to promote the dignity and wellness of adults, families, youth and children affected by HIV/AIDS through quality support and prevention services so they may live healthy lives.

In 2005, Full Circle AIDS Hospice Support and CANDII (The Children's AIDS Network) united with a common mission: To provide more comprehensive services to individuals and families impacted by HIV/AIDS in Hampton Roads.  The two agencies came together with a common goal and purpose and formed ACCESS: AIDS Care for Education and Support Services. Since that's a mouthful, we go by ACCESS AIDS Care.

We selected ACCESS AIDS Care as our new name because it better describes our newly merged organization. Although there is no cure in sight, today, many people are living longer, healthier lives, and fewer children are born with the disease. While we still provide all the programs and services our clients have come to rely on, it is time to expand our mission as we move forward. Our mission is to provide greater access to comprehensive HIV support services for everyone living with, or affected by HIV and AIDS.
