March 12, 2010: "Testing America" in Norfolk
Get Tested: ACCESS AIDS Care is partnering with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) as part of its 6-month, 48 state national cross country HIV testing tour. The tour will reach Norfolk on March 12th with its Magic Johnson Mobile Testing Unit. Free, confidential HIV testing will be offered at two locations:
- 12p - 5p: Huntersville Neighborhood Center, 830 Goff Street, Norfolk,
- 10p: Parking lot of Nutty Buddys, 143 East Little Creek Road, Norfolk. The Virginia Department of Health will be offering free syphilis testing at the Nutty Buddys site.
The tour began on January 6th in Seattle, Washington and will continue throughout the United States through June 27, 2010 with a final stop in New York City for National HIV Testing Day. To learn more about AHF’s Cross Country HIV Testing Tour, visit www.aidshealth.org.

June 27, 2010: National HIV Testing Day
Support & Advocate: National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is an annual campaign coordinated by the National Association of People with AIDS to encourage people of all ages to "Take the Test, Take Control." Check back for a list of events in our area and testing centers open to the public the week of June 27th.
